About Us

Mark has spent his life in cars. Initially growing up around his family’s car collection and racing activities before turning his passion into a business by running several motor and motorsport businesses that have worked in promoting or managing large scale events for global motorsport series such as Formula 1, Formula E, Motocross World Championship, World Superbike Championship and others.
Mark’s passion for classic cars has seen him run several events in that space too including the award nominated South African Historic Grand Prix Festival as well as the London Classic Car Show, CarFest and the Stonor Supercar Sunday.
Having experience in the motor industry in areas as diverse as PR, motoring journalism, motor sales, competitor and event organiser, Mark has an ability to fundamentally understand our business from many different angles and take care of the needs of our customers with care and attention to detail.

Martin is best known for racing a vintage Bentley around Goodwood and using it to tow other exotic race cars to far flung destinations such as France, much to the amusement of the internet. He is a true petrolhead and in addition to a fabulous collection in his garage, he also owns the historic Hotel de France south of Le Mans that has long been the haunt of endurance racing teams and filled with their racing history.

Martin runs a successful construction company based outside London and will often be seen on one of our events racing some delicious piece of history or taking the mickey out of Mark…

John Byfield is a British business executive and consultant with extensive experience in sports law, sponsorship, marketing and corporate leadership.

He began his career in a private legal practice which he founded and led for 20 years. He also worked extensively in Formula 1. In 2003, he founded the sports business Essentially Group, focusing on sports management and marketing/sponsorship together with brand management. The company was listed on AIM in London in 2006, becoming the largest manager of rugby and cricket players globally, with John as its Executive Chairman and largest single shareholder. Essentially Group was acquired by Chime Communications plc in 2010 at which point John exited the business.

Since 2009, John has held several director positions on various boards, both public and private including a five-year period as a main board director of The Stanley Gibbons Group plc and the mining exploration company, BWA Group. John sits on CGT’s Board of Directors to advise on strategy and growth.

John has a passion for classic cars and travelling aided and abetted by a love of fine wines.

Karen has been around cars and motorsport for the last 30 plus years, having worked in several businesses involved in planning and organising motorsport events globally. Originally from the medical world, she decided to hang up her white coat and join her husband Mark Woolley in running these global events.

Karen is one of the most organised people we know! So it was logical that when we were looking for someone to manage the operations in the business as well as our clients information, their hotel, ferry, Le Shuttle and airline bookings and keeping our office and team in working order, there was no better person for the job!
She is extremely partial to enjoying the odd rally or tour and deploying her rather impressive navigational skills, and she rather likes vintage Bentleys and Jaguar D Types!

Rebecca Leppard is the founder of Eventageous PR Ltd, a specialist agency in classic car and motorsport PR and events. With over 25 years’ experience, she has delivered campaigns, award ceremonies and managed events for prestigious names including the Royal Automobile Club, Salon Privé, Derek Bell MBE and many other leading automotive brands and personalities.

Twice named Automotive PR of the Year at the Newspress Awards, Rebecca is recognised for her creativity, industry knowledge and tireless enthusiasm. From concours lawns and racetracks to even a stint in the desert with a land speed team, she brings passion and professionalism to Classic GT, looking after our marketing, PR and event development.

With over 13 years in the motorsport industry from circuit racing, drifting and rally, James brings a wealth of experience and passion to every event. Starting out as a driver instructor and private coach, he has worked with a wide range of clients-from celebrity guests to current and ex Formula 1 drivers. When not managing tours or competing in the MG Cup, James spends part of the year teaching high-performance ice driving. He regularly collaborates with top-tier manufacturers including BMW and Rolls-Royce, delivering global events, launching new models, and ensuring VIP clients experience the very best in automotive excellence.

Steve’s passion for engines, driving, and motorsport was ignited when he used his first paycheck at 17 to purchase a second-hand go-kart. His love for competition and the desire to build and fettle his own and other people’s racing cars only grew from there. Although he temporarily put his motorsport pursuits on hold to set up his engineering company at 25, Steve eventually returned to the sport and competed in the Westfield sportscar championship, winning several races and nearly taking the championship in his second year.

Despite life’s twists and turns, including raising children and renovating a chateau in France, Steve’s love for motorsport never waned. Today, he enjoys his open-top MG roadster on quiet roads across France, his Lotus Esprit on European car tours, and pulling apart and rebuilding anything with oil in it. His technical knowledge and expertise make him a valuable asset to CGT, assisting with tours, route plans, and technical backup.

Lloyd is a through and through petrolhead and motorsports fanatic. Growing up from a very early age mirroring his father’s world in the historic motorsports’ scene. Lloyd has had a keen interest in all forms of motorsport throughout his life and can talk to you about pretty much any motorsport, from any era! A vehicular obsessive. His career was always destined to be in the motor trade, covering all basis right from humble beginnings, to prestige motor sales and even technical roles for the likes of JLR, Audi and Specialist Aston Martin. His growing hobby is motorsports commentary/presenting, covering various rounds of the FIA Masters, British Hillclimb Championship, and various other events happening at Shelsley Walsh. In his spare time he loves to spend time with his wife, riding his motorcycle, tinkering with his classic Peugeot 205 GTi and singing in a band with a few friends!
